Armadale Community Men's Shed Inc

Members fundraising at Masters

Armadale Community Men's Shed, WA (not to be confused with Armidale Menshed in NSW) has been undertaking a rigorous planning process for the last 12 months and is an example of ensuring the shed 'foundation stones' are securely in place before formally commencing.

There are 11 active members on the Steering Committee , three of whom are members of the Armadale Rotary Club sharing common ideals. The Committee meets fortnightly and have already raised more than $1100 through BBQ's and a series of other events.  This has represented some important start-up funding to assist with the purchase of items such as caps and shirts to promote the Armadale image.

Recently the Club has become incorporated, prepared a constitution and are currently negotiating with Armadale Shire Council and other Government organisations for suitable premises.

Armadale Community Men's Shed describes itself as a place where men of all ages can meet regularly for friendship, recreation and participation in projects that improve the health and well-being of their prospective members.

Look out for great things from this Shed in the future.  Should you be interested in contributing to, or learning more about  the Shed's activities please contact Ian Stevenson by phone on 08 9390 9963
