Airds Bradbury Menshed

Airds Bradbury Menshed

The Airds/ Bradbury Men shed opened its doors in late 2010.  Since that time the Shed has played a strong role in the development of the local community.

Members range in age from 20 to 85, most of whom enthusiastically get together to discuss men's health issues and learn new skills in a positive peer group environment.

Unfortunately the shed was recently trashed by vandals who took with them more than $2000 in equipment and machinery.  "This is despite 12' high fences" said Shed co-ordinator Andrew McGlinchy "and has represented a set-back to our community efforts.  The whole episode has been pretty disappointing but fortunately our members have plenty of resolve" said Andrew.

The Airds/ Bradbury Men shed endeavours to create somewhere men can call their own, where they can spend time with other men sharing skills and interests in a relaxed environment. Activities include wood working, metal turning, lawnmower & whipper sniper repairs, building of special trailers for use in the community, reconditioning of pushbikes for young indigenous children in foster care and a large community garden.

It meets on Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-2pm and Andrew can be contacted on 0412 922 033.The address of the shed is 86A Greengate Road Airds, NSW 2560.

New members are very welcome
